Medicine Cabinets

Yes! You Can Frame That BARE Medicine Cabinet!

Well, most of them, anyway!

Identify Your Type of Medicine Cabinet

  • Surface Mounted Medicine Cabinet

    Surface-Mounted

These can easily be framed. In STEP 2 of the order process enter 1/4" at the Top, Right, Left and Bottom as the distance from the mirror edge to wall. That way the frame will extend a bit beyond the edge of the mirror so from the side you will not see the mirror "sandwiched" underneath.

  • Recessed Lighting Medicine Cabinet

    Recessed

If your medicine cabinet is recessed into the drywall, order a sample to first ensure the door will open when frames.

Ordering for a Recessed Medicine Cabinet

  • Frame Position on the Mirror

    1. See if the door opens, when holding the sample 1/4" out from the edge of the door on the hinge side.

If YES, order with 1/4" space on all sides of the mirror.

  • Placing the Sample Flush with the Edge of the Mirror

    2. If the door cannot open, try the sample flush with edge of the door. Now open the door.

Did door open all the way? If YES: Order with o" space on all sides. If NO, call us at866-304-6283. It still may fit.

Other Considerations

  • Metal Strip on the Mirror Edge

    Is there a metal strip?

Does a metal strip run around its edges of your medicine cabinet? Call us at 866-304-6283 or email us at info@mirrormate.com and we will advise you.

  • Beveled Mirror Edge

    Beveled edge? No worries!

Does your medicine cabinet have a bevel on the edge of the mirror? Is it less than 1" in width? You will lose the bevel but you won't miss it! A frame looks so much more finished! And if you have a recessed frame, do order a sample and follow the instructions above.
