Style Spotlight: Highline Slim Midnight Black
A black mirror frame is magic - transforming a plate glass mirror by creating definition and making it the beautiful focal point in the bath that it should be. Pair that with today's on-trend Matte Black fixtures and you instantly have a modern, coordinated bath. Below we highlight four recent makeovers using the style.
Makeover #1
This top to bottom makeover by @paisley_designs_17 retains the plate glass mirror and adds the MirrorMate frame in Highline Slim Midnight Black on top, as well as fully updating the floors, vanity, and shower. Note the original mirror that rests on the backsplash - this is very common and able to be framed without issue as the frame attaches directly to the mirror.
Makeover #2
@our.pretzer.home made just one dramatic change to this bath - the frame! MirrorMate frames have a recess in the back that allowed the frame to go over the metal strip that runs along her mirror. This strip is typically solely at the base of the mirror along a backsplash holding the mirror the wall, but in this case ran the length of the mirror. No problem though! The frame went right over the strip. The black frame is the perfect finishing touch and again complements the black hardware so well.
Makeover #3
Here is a look at another bathroom makeover by the talented @paisley_designs_17 where she again retained the existing, wall mounted mirror that sits on a backsplash, and abuts the side wall and simply adds the MirrorMate frame to it in Highline Slim Midnight Black. We're also loving the graphic tiled floored, new vanity, black fixtures and wall color! No detail was overlooked here!
Makeover #4
Finally, this dramatic before and after is by Chris over @the_lifeathome. She used paint and a frame that resulted in a full makeover with a crisp, clean, modern feel. Future project? Even that medicine cabinet could be framed! :)
