See The Before & After by @clairelynnhome
You can find Claire over at @clairelynnhome updating her TX farmhouse "one DIY project at a time". Recently she showcased her DIY prowess with this striking guest bathroom update. A MirrorMate frame in Cherokee French White Oak was a key ingredient, adding texture to the space and covering the desilvered edge of her existing mirror. She also painted the vanity using Fusion Mineral Paint in Coal Black, updated the hardware, added board and batten, and used peel and stick wallpaper from Wunder Wall Mural in their Leaves & Berries design. The before and after below shows just what a transformation was made.
One of the most striking changes was the use of the frame to cover the desilvered edge at the base of the mirror, shown below in more detail. This is an incredibly common issue in older bathrooms and the options are limited. Either replace the entire mirror (which may be difficult to take down – even glued in place) or frame it and cover over the markings. The easiest – and by far the most beautiful – is to add a frame.
This makeover is also a great example of how a MirrorMate frame works to fit nearly any mirror – no matter the location.
Here, the mirror also goes wall to wall and sits on the backsplash. That is not an issue here or ever. No room is needed around the mirror in order to frame it, as the frame attaches directly to the mirror with professional grade 3M double stick tape.
Once your measurements are submitted, the frame is made for you and your space. Any obstructions are taken into account to ensure a perfect fit. If there are clips holding the mirror to the wall, the recess in the back of the frame will cover over those as well. It is a product that has been designed to take everything into account, so you don’t have to.
